Who is Harjinder Singh
Harjinder Singh is a Sikh truck driver who came to America from Punjab in search of a better future. But according to police records, he entered the US illegally from the Mexican border in 2018. He was also detained at that time, but later he came out due to a pending case in the immigration system and then started living in California. Later, he also got a work permit and a commercial driving license.
How did the accident happen
The incident took place near Fort Pierce on the Florida Turnpike. According to the police, Harjinder Singh was driving his tractor-trailer when he suddenly tried to make an illegal U-turn from an “Official Use Only” pass. This place is only for police and emergency services.

Judge Lauren Sweet in St. Lucie County Court said during the hearing that Harjinder is an “unauthorized alien” and there is a “flight risk” that means he may flee. Therefore, his bail was completely rejected.
