Kasauli is the best tourist place in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. It is a hill station and a military cantonment. Kasauli was established by the British in 1842. Its altitude is approximately 6,300 to 6,500 feet above sea level. Kasauli is located just 58 km from Chandigarh and 77 km from Shimla. Many people like to visit this place on the weekend. They enjoy Kasauli weather, travel experience, green forests of pine and oak, cobbled streets, and a peaceful environment. Kasauli temperature is around 28°C in the summer and 4°C in the winter. The air quality index is also good here. So it is the best place to visit in all seasons.

Sunset Point is a tranquil vantage point at the end of Upper Mall Road in the Kasauli Cantonment Area. You have to walk to reach the point and the following places.

2. Gilbert Trail, Kasauli
Gilbert Trail is a popular nature walk. It is next to Sunset Point. You will love this trail because this place is so peaceful, with green trees, chirping birds, and breathtaking views of the valley. The track has height but is a simple walk in nature.

3. Gilbert House Kasauli
Gilbert House is another best place to visit in Kasauli. There are many historic colonial-era bungalows used as official residences for local army commanders. At the end point of Gilbert Trail, you will see the following shed shown in the picture. It is an excellent place for photoshoots and nature views.

4. Suicide Point, Kasauli, HP
After Gilbert Nature Trail, you reach Suicide Point in Kasauli. It offers a thrilling, panoramic view of the lush pine valleys and deep hills. This place is excellent for nature photography, but do it safely.

5. Meditation Point
Meditation Point in Kasauli provides panoramic views of the surrounding places, including the Kaushalya Dam and Sukhna Lake. You can enjoy cold winds in summer at this place.

6. Christ Church Kasauli
The Church of England in Kasauli is now known as Christ Church. It was built in 1853 and is one of the oldest churches in Himachal Pradesh. It is near the bus and car parking. People can visit it, but 12:30 PM to 7 PM is the public time.

7. Manki Point, Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh
Manki Point is located 6500 ft above sea level in Kasauli, HP. It is located about 4 km from the main Kasauli Bus Stand. You will see the Hanuman Ji temple at the hilltop. Manki (Monkey) Point is the exact spot where Lord Hanuman put his foot while searching for the life-saving Sanjivani Booti to save Lakshmana. The hill peak also looks like a human foot.
Basically, this point is managed by the Indian Air Force. You cannot bring smartphones, cameras, bags, and other accessories to this place. You have to deposit all these things at the security gate, where they provide lockers. They charge Rs. 10 for each item that you deposit there, like a phone, backpack, watch, etc. You can only carry a water bottle. You can hire a taxi from Christ Church for Rs. 500 because personal vehicles are not allowed. You must have a valid government-issued ID to get entry through the security checkpoint. No ID means no entry. Also, entry to Manki Point closes at 4 PM, so make sure you reach there before 4 PM.

8. Kasauli Market
Kasauli Heritage Market is the main market here. You can do shopping, eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner, visit a fast food cafe, and buy vintage items.

I would like to give some advice: you should reach here around 9 to 10 AM if you want to visit all the above places. When you park your car, they will charge Rs. 150 for 5 hours, and after that Rs. 30 for only one hour. You should also visit all the above places by walking except Manki Point. Only then can you truly enjoy your Kasauli trip. It is a family-friendly place for everyone.
