I noticed that many people from all over the world want to know what Punjabi people eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I even searched this topic online and it showed that Punjabi people eat mustard greens (sarson ka saag), chana masala, Nan, Chole kulcha, Halwa poori, Bhatoora, and Falooda, but this is not all because mustard greens are a seasonal dish and other are heavy, you cannot eat these dishes daily.

I am living in Punjab, so I know more about what Punjabi people like to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Punjabi people are very strong in body and mind. They eat a healthy and natural diet that is rich in protein, nutrition, fiber, and fat. They do physical work and exercise that help them to digest the food.

  • Punjabi people like to eat Chapati or Roti – flat round bread with cooked vegetables, lentils, or mint and onion chatni.
  • Aloo paratha and gobi paratha with butter, curd, and pickle are their favorite breakfast foods.
  • Most people also take yogurt, butter, milk, and lassi.
  • Sometimes they make poori chole, basan paratha and mix methi in maize flour.

They cook and eat these Punjabi dishes randomly. Punjabi people also like to eat fast food such as chole-kulche, samosa, pakoras, and paneer tika. Punjabi people’s lifestyle is very neat and clean. They cook food very hygienically. Most of the grain, vegetables, and fruits come from the local farmers.
