Instant messaging and email are essential for our daily lives. They are not up till late at night. They used to sleep on time and get up early in the morning. They were able to focus and cut out the noise and enjoy the simple pleasures in life. We all fail at this.

They lived a more disciplined lifestyle. Our grandparents lived in an environment with less pollution and healthier living conditions. They were less distracted and could focus on their work and their families. Fresh air improved their immunity. They ate and slept on schedule.

4. Aromatic Sicks

It is believed that the practice of chewing on aromatic sticks and twigs existed long before toothpaste was invented. To remove plaque buildup, whole grains were also used as mild abrasives.
