Trail Or Motocross
Before you start looking for a dirt bike you should be aware that there is a difference between trail riding and motocross. Knowing how these two differ will help you to choose the right one.
The main difference is dirt bike riding can be done anywhere. You basically pick a direction and head off. This means you can encounter a variety of terrains and you’ll need to be ready for each one.

It can be tempting to go for a brand new dirt bike as this gives you guarantees and the bike looks fantastic. However, the reality is that you are likely to drop the bike at least once. That means you’re probably better off with a used example. It will bother you less when you drop it and, if you use a reputable dealer, you’ll still get the appropriate warranties and guarantees.
Of course, used dirt bikes are also cheaper, which helps when you are starting out. Don’t forget, it’s a good idea to get all the gear at the same time. You’re likely to get a discount and you’ll need it when you almost inevitably come off.
