Stage 2:  Periodontitis – Sensitivity to cold and heat, acidic foods, sugar, brushing, periodic bleeding, acute and sudden pain. Periodontitis 2nd stage is not reversible, but it is manageable.

Stage 3: Advanced PeriodontitisGum recession, pus fill-up in pockets and loosen the tooth or even fall out.

Possible Treatment of Periodontal Disease

However, if periodontitis disease is treated in the early stage and the person maintains oral hygiene properly, the damage can be stopped. But still, some treatment options are available for periodontal disease grade 3, such as:

  • Flap surgery
  • Bone grafting
  • Soft tissue grafts
  • Removal of unhealthy tissue
  • Tissue regeneration
  • Tissue-stimulating proteins

Things you can do to prevent Periodontal Disease

To avoid teeth loss due to periodontal disease, it is better to take care of your teeth timely. Otherwise, you may lose your teeth and you will have to replace the missing teeth with dentures hamilton, bridge, or implant.

  • Brush your teeth twice a day and clean your tongue as well.
  • Floss your teeth daily
  • Use fluoride-based toothpaste
